Inclusive education and digital readiness drive Filipino youth empowerment
The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino in the Philippines, under Consul General Jean Henri Diago Lhuillier, is leading an initiative to strengthen inclusive education and digital readiness for Filipino learners.
The program has reached public schools and Alternative Learning System (ALS) centers across the country. From major cities like Manila, Pasig, Quezon City, Caloocan, and Parañaque to remote areas such as Bongao in Tawi-Tawi and Banocboc in the Calaguas Islands, the effort continues to expand. Students in schools like Rafael Palma Elementary, Nagpayong Elementary, San Isidro National High School, and Juliana Elementary have already benefited. Schools in Ifugao, Camiguin, Mindoro, South Cotabato, and Masbate are next in line.
The initiative blends cultural, financial, and technological education. Book donations help preserve culture. Financial literacy and artificial intelligence modules give students practical knowledge and future-ready skills. This mix ensures learners are prepared for both everyday life and the demands of the digital economy.
Consul General Lhuillier said, “Inclusive and quality education is the foundation of a better society. By working hand-in-hand, we can empower learners with the skills and values they need to shape their future and uplift their communities.”
The program shows how diplomacy can extend beyond traditional relations. By focusing on inclusive education and digital readiness, the Consulate demonstrates its commitment to nation-building, cultural understanding, and growth.
